A fresh controversy has surfaced following the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination results, with a candidate from Kanpur alleging that her score changed multiple times on the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal. The incident has drawn attention from students, parents, and the medical education community, while the NTA has categorically denied the allegations, stating that the claims are based on fabricated documents.
Candidate Alleges Multiple Changes in NEET Score
According to the candidate, her NEET UG 2026 score underwent multiple revisions after the results were declared. She claims that her score was initially displayed as 609 marks, which was later revised to 540 marks, and eventually changed to 167 marks on the official portal.
The candidate has alleged that these repeated changes left her confused and raised concerns about the accuracy and reliability of the result evaluation process. She believes the discrepancies have significantly impacted her chances of securing admission to a medical college.
Complaint Submitted to Authorities

The agency also issued a strong warning regarding the circulation of manipulated documents.
According to the NTA, creating, editing, or sharing fabricated OMR sheets or misleading examination-related content may attract legal and penal action under applicable laws. The agency emphasized that spreading false information can create unnecessary confusion among students and undermine the integrity of the examination process.
