Difficulty Level & Student Reactions

Feedback largely described the paper as easy to moderate, but the clinical section proved to be the most demanding. Many students noted a blend of direct and tricky questions, with length and time pressure being challenges for some.

Key clinical subjects like:

  • Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Pharmacology

were heavily featured, often in case-based or integrated formats.

Section-Wise & Subject-Wise Breakup

Difficulty & Observations Section/Subject

Anatomy & Physiology Moderate; mix of image-based and conceptual questions
Biochemistry Moderate to difficult; enzyme/pathway-heavy
Pathology Moderate with clinical integration
Medicine & Surgery High weightage; clinical reasoning emphasized Obs‑Gyne,
Ophthalmology, Pharma Frequently tested with case-based scenarios
Clinical reasoning and case analyses were prevalent, heightening the cognitive demand of the paper, particularly in Parts B and C * *.

Key Highlights & Takeaways

*Competition is expected to be intense, with potentially higher cut-offs due to the record number of test-takers.

*A safe attempt range is considered to be around 170–180 questions, provided high accuracy is maintained.
