In a major relief for medical aspirants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the new date for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination. The exam will now be conducted on June 21, 2026, after the earlier test was cancelled due to the ongoing paper leak controversy.

The decision was taken after growing concerns from students, parents, and educational authorities demanding a fair and transparent examination process.

Why Is NEET UG 2026 Being Re-Conducted?

The original NEET UG 2026 exam, held on May 3, was cancelled following allegations of question paper leaks and exam irregularities reported from several states.

Investigating agencies reportedly found evidence suggesting the examination process had been compromised. Following the controversy, the NTA decided to conduct a fresh examination to ensure fairness for all candidates.
