Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh — A shocking incident at Sidhi District Hospital has triggered rage after a video came-out showing the Civil Surgeon being publicly humiliated and assaulted by unidentified individuals. The attackers purportedly poured ink on the officer’s face during an altercation inside the hospital premises.

The incident reportedly took place on [Sidhi District Hospital]. According to primary information, the Civil Surgeon was encountered by a group of people who accused him of mishandling hospital matters. The conflict worsened, leading to physical aggression, including ink being poured on his face while he was on duty.

Hospital staff immediately interrupted to help the officer and informed local authorities. The civil surgeon has not  stated any comprehensive public statement yet, but witnesses within the hospital described the dispute matter as “shocking and deeply discouraging” for healthcare workers.

Police has started an investigation, and putting their all efforts to identify the people seen in the video. Authorities stated that strict action will be taken to confirm the protection of government officials and medical personnel on duty.

Healthcare associations have condemned the attack, calling for better security measures within medical establishments. “No government employee should face humiliation or aggression while performing their duties,” said a spokesperson of a regional medical union.
